Cristiano Ronaldo Could Have Been Signed By Real Madrid

Recently it was revealed that Manchester United's young talent Cristiano Ronaldo could have ended up at the Bernabeau playing in La Liga for Real Madrid.
According to Miguel Angel Portugal, the Real Madrid club secretary, Madrid had the chance to sign Ronaldo when he was still playing for Sporting Lisbon.
However the deal never went through because the youth setup were never given the necessary funds by the Madrid president Fiortenine Perez, who was too busy focusing on 'La Galacticos'.
Madrid must be kicking themselves now, and only recently has the club started to sign some young talent - instead of purchasing the superstar footballers of the world.
Even more heart-breaking to the Madrid club and fans is the revelation that they missed out on other stars such as Lionel Messi and Gio Dos Santos, again due to the fact that the club were unwilling to spend money on the young stars due to their own policy.
